The project involved creating a book cover and a typeface for the book cover so that it would have the same qualities and aspects of the book scenario as the book cover imagery. The typeface was influenced by the Arts & Crafts movement’s traits and beautiful design components. The book cover design incorporates all of the story’s parts within the framework of the arts and crafts and art nouveau era aesthetics, with the usage of ornate borders that match the same aesthetic as the customised typeface. The concept for a basic design sprang from the highly ornamentation typography, which I, as the creator of this artwork, intended to emphasise more as the book’s name.
