Voyage is a magazine series that explores several natural life cycles together as they go through each stage of life. A butterfly’s development from the formation of a caterpillar, which begins with a little egg on a tiny leaf, was compared to a human life cycle, which begins as a foetus within a mother’s uterus, develops to an adult, and, like a butterfly, finally becomes elderly. Each life cycle has six distinct cycles that are compared to one another, each with its unique set of challenges. This magazine look was based on visual inspiration discovered throughout the planning phase, which was primarily influenced by a Vogue magazine. Voyage was inspired by the same features as this vogue magazine graphic, including the usage of only two colours throughout the magazine, the cover page headline, and the use of visuals. The basic aim of Voyage was to relate the sequence of human life to another natural life cycle and illustrate how we, as humans, do not need to rule other natural components because we all have the same qualities and purposes in life.
